Whisky Wisdom Which Whisky is Which?
Program outline
“Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough.” Mark Twain
Whisky Wisdom offers an evening of entertainment that will test your deductive abilities in a relaxed and sociable environment.
Whisky Wisdom is the perfect end to your conference, combining team building with the ever-popular corporate nightcap! Enjoy stimulating conversation, light-hearted competition and a whiskey shot.
Whiskys are rich and diverse in flavours—more than any other distilled spirit. Each country traditionally produces its own style of whiskey, but even within that style there is an incredible range of whiskies to choose from. The types of grain used, the distillation method, and the casks chosen for ageing are what make each whisky taste different. Whisky is an adventure. Whisky Wisdom invites you to indulge and explore its diversity.
After a short introduction, teams receive the rules along with their box of aroma bottles. At this point, boasting and ribbing are strongly encouraged, because the end game is to be the first group to correctly identify the aroma profiles of some of the most popular whisky brands in the world!
Take a Whiff…
With your smelling strip in hand, you will identify each sample in your aroma kit. This seemingly simple task can quickly turn into a hilariously entertaining discussion in which your team will come together and unanimously agree which is which.
Which Whisky is Which?
After a combination of tastings and sniffing sample strips, it’s time for you and your fellow alcohol connoisseurs to make your first deductions. Compare answers, discuss amongst your team and let the majority vote take you to the final round.
Cheers to the Winners!
Submit your final answers and engage in more conversing and boasting as results are tallied. Your collective hard work is rewarded with another round of whiskeys as you all reflect on your newfound knowledge.
And remember, in the words of George Bernard Shaw, “Whisky is liquid sunshine.”
